• How do I know which unit size I need? Sizes and prices

  Use the estimator: count the big pieces and roughly how many boxes, and it suggests the smallest unit that holds them with room to pack. As a guide, a one-bed flat fits in 50 sq ft and a three-bed house in 100. You can change size later if you got it wrong.

• Is there a minimum stay? Sizes and prices

  No. The first month is the only month you commit to. After that you give seven days’ notice and we charge to the day you leave.

• Who gets the half-price first month? Sizes and prices

  Everyone reserving a unit of 35 sq ft or larger, for any length of stay. It is taken off your first payment automatically.

• Are prices per week or per month? Sizes and prices

  Per calendar month, VAT included. We never quote a weekly price that turns into a bigger monthly bill.

• Can I move to a bigger or smaller unit? Sizes and prices

  Yes, at any time and at no charge, if one is free. We lend you trolleys and you move across the same day.

• When can I get to my unit? Access and security

  The gate opens to your PIN from 6am to 10pm, every day including bank holidays. Business accounts can ask for 24-hour access.

• Who has a key to my unit? Access and security

  Only you. You lock it with your own padlock, and we never open it unless you ask us to or a court orders it.

• How is the building protected? Access and security

  A PIN-controlled gate, 64 cameras recorded for 30 days, an intruder alarm monitored out of hours, and staff on site every day. Every unit door has an individual alarm contact.

• Can someone else visit my unit? Access and security

  Yes. Add them to your account at reception and they get their own PIN, so the gate log shows who came and when.

• What do I need to bring on move-in day? Moving in

  Photo ID and a proof of address, a padlock (or buy a disc padlock at reception), and proof of insurance if you are not taking our contents cover.

• Do you sell boxes and packing materials? Moving in

  Yes, at reception: boxes in four sizes, tape, paper, bubble wrap, mattress and sofa covers. Unused boxes can be returned within 30 days.

• Can a removal company deliver straight to my unit? Moving in

  Yes. Tell us the date and the company name, and we let them in during office hours. Drive-up units are the easiest for a big load.

• What am I not allowed to store? What can be stored

  Anything alive, food that can spoil, anything flammable or explosive (paint thinners, fuel, gas bottles), firearms, and anything illegal. Full list in the terms.

• Can I store a car or motorbike? What can be stored

  Motorbikes, yes, in a drive-up unit with the fuel tank nearly empty and the battery disconnected. We do not have space for cars.

• Is my stuff insured? What can be stored

  It has to be. Take our contents cover from £6 a month for £2,000, or show us a home insurance policy that covers goods in storage.
